Marc Langheinrich

Marc is a full professor in the Faculty of Informatics. His main interests are privacy and security, and the role usability play in this respect. Marc received a masters degree (Diplom) in computer science from the University of Bielefeld, Germany, in 1997, and his PhD (Dr. sc.) from the ETH Zurich, Switzerland, in 2005.

Nemanja Memarovic

Nemanja was a PhD student and Research Assistant at the Faculty of Informatics at USI, until 2014. His research centered around social interactions in public spaces, in particular opportunities for intra- and inter-community communication.

He was a member of the EU-funded pd-net research project.

Elisa Rubegni

Elisa was a research fellow (post doctoral) in the group until 2014. Elisa's research activity falls within the field of HCI and Interaction design. Her research focuses on the effect and the role of digital technology and online communication in human activities as well as investigating the socio-technical issues encountered: (1) Educational technology in both informal and formal settings; (2) Interactive media in public spaces for enhancing communication and information access and sharing.

Mads Schaarup Andersen

Mads was a visting PhD student at the Faculty of Informatics at USI (visiting from Aarhus University, Denmark). His research was in location trace sharing, and in particular adding location privacy to location based services sharing location traces. Since January 2014, Mads is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at The Open University.

Marcello Paolo Scipioni

Marcello was a PhD student and Research Assistant at the Faculty of Informatics at USI. His research was in location sharing, and in particular in creating privacy-aware location sharing systems that alleviate users from having to make simple "all or nothing" choices.

Marcello worked in the SNF-funded PALS project.

Evangelos Niforatos

Evangelos was a PhD student and Research Assistant at the Faculty of Informatics at USI. His research interests lie in the areas of mobile computing, UX design and evaluation, memory enhancement, emotion recognition, context awareness, participatory sensing and ambient intelligence.

Evangelos worked together with Agon in the EU-funded RECALL research project.

Ivan Elhart

Ivan is a Senior Researcher / Postdoc at the Faculty of Informatics at USI. His research interests are in the area of pervasive public display systems, in particular opportunities for distributed application and content scheduling.

Ivan worked on a number of research projects, such as the EU-funded PD-NET and PersonAAL.

Agon Bexheti

Agon was a PhD student and Research Assistant at the Faculty of Informatics at USI. His research was in secure human memory augmentation systems that preserve the privacy of their users. His broader research interests also include blockchain, Internet-of-things (IoT), machine learning, user experience design and prototyping.

He was a member of the EU-funded RECALL research project.
