How to find us

We are located at the Lugano Campus West of the University. See the How to reach the Lugano Campus for general directions. The page also features a campus map – we are in the Informatics Building (Black Building), marked “3” on the map.

By Car

Use the embedded map below for directions. Note that the University offers underground parking that is open to the public. However, spaces are very limited. Contact us if you are planning to come by car so we can arrange a reserved parking spot for you.

By Train and Bus

From the Lugano train station, take Bus No. 6 in the direction of Università / Cornaredo, which will take you directly to the university (technically there’s only one direction anyway, as the train station is the end of the line for Bus 6). Alternatively, you can walk to the stop Genzana (in front of “Bar Genzana” near the North end of the station) and take Bus No. 5 in the direction of Viganello, which will also pass the University but will first pass through the center of town (6 stops). In both cases, you want to get off at the stop Università.

For an overview of the Lugano Bus network, see the Lugano Public Transport (TPL) Website. Tickets must be bought at the ticket machine prior to boarding the bus (CHF 2.00 for a “percorso breve”/short distance ticket if you’re coming from the station). Attention: ticket machines may not give change, and not all of them accept cards (none of them accept bills)!
